This fall, the East Bay Express will once again celebrate the darker side of independent cinema in a vibrant display of horror, macabre and exploitation shorts with SCREAM 2015: East Bay Express’ Horror Film Festival.
SCREAM 2015, brought to you by the East Bay Express in collaboration with Tourettes without Regrets and The Sacramento Horror Film Festival, will take place on Saturday, October 24th from 7pm to Midnight at XOXO Nightclub in Oakland. This event is 21+.

The evening will also feature:
• Live horror-inspired burlesque and live music performances from various Bay Area performers
• Master of ceremonies Jamie DeWolf of Tourette’s Without Regrets
• A cash prize of $500 for the Judges Choice and $1000 for the Audience Favorite. Winning film teams will also walk away with bundles of devilish goodies from local retailers.
Special Guest Judges:
Sean McGrath – Musician and artist who lives in San Francisco, CA. He is the founding member, guitarist and vocalist of the death metal band, Impaled, the vocalist of Engorged, and the guitarist and vocalist of Ghoul. He has also created artwork for a number of heavy metal and punk bands, most notably Municipal Waste and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Tim Meunier – Co-Founder/CEO at Sinister Creature Con and Festival Director/Executive Producer of the Sacramento Horror Film Festival
Jim “Kingfish” Sweeney – Producer of the Hubba Hubba Revue
Ryan Almighty – Professional Weirdo, Human Blood Painter, Tattooist, Illustrator, and Curator of the Oddities Museum at Tiger’s Blood Social Club.
Victor Miller – American writer for film and television. Perhaps his best known and most acknowledged work is his screenplay for the original Friday the 13thfilm, the popularity of which spawned a long series of sequels, none of which has his involvement, although he remains credited for being the creator of characters, Jason Voorhees and his mother. He has also written for several daytime television series, for which he has won three Daytime Emmy Awards. His television work includes Guiding Light, One Life to Live, Another World, and All My Children. Much of his tenure of several shows has been working under head writer Megan McTavish. Recently he mentored the script for the indie horror movie, Nobody Gets Out Alive originally titled Down The Road, featuring Clint Howard.
